Journey of the Girl Child

On a pleasant day, at dawn,
Girl child, thou was born.
With twinkling eyes and sparkling mind,
Into a world not so kind.

Grew you did, with love and care,
To speak out and forth, you didn't dare.
You are indeed smart my dear,
Why you concede to live in fear?

Into the place of learning you went,
But to the one round the corner, where you were sent.
Coz you are a tender darling, they said,
And should be looked after, until you are wed.

The wedding, yes lavishly happened,
On you, heaps of gold burdened.
Stay at home and rest my love, said he,
Coz I am the man, and will fend for thee.

You indeed, questioned never,
Chose to just agree forever.
To smile and be and not to complain,
Its hard to not go insane.

You have studied and all,
Do something than stare at the wall,
Now said he after some time passed.
Never bothering what turmoil he caused.

And so you went, to work every day,
And at home too slogged each day.
Seeing your little baby grow,
Always did ease your tired brow.

Time does fly, and flies fast,
Looking after your children was gone and past.
They now looked at you with a frown,
At the woman, with no penny of her own.

Then you saw the darkness over you,
You yourself had plunged into that black hole
Yes, that’s true
For you chose to bend your eyes,
And held to yourself, your cries.
For you chose to not question,
And to take any a burden.
For you chose to shut yourself,
In the end you lost your self.

Little Pumpy Dare

On to the other side I wanna go,
The reason you ask, oh,
The apples are sweeter there,
Said little Pumpy Dare!

Those apples make me strong,
But to come back, I’ll always long!
I‘ll get a seed and plant it here,
Apples here then will be sweeter,
Said little Pumpy Dare!

Off he did go, to the other side,
Zoomed in the merry slide!
Sweet apples, he ate and ate,
Cursed the ones from where he came,
And proclaimed their distaste!

I’ll stay here a little longer,
So I get a bit more stronger!
Then I’ll take a seed and go,
To my people, sweet apples will show!
Said little Pumpy Dare!

Longer and longer, he did stay,
When until his hair turned grey.
He had slaved for many a years,
And forgot many a dears,
Which he had left behind.

Sweet apples are meant to be here,
It will never grow there,
The tree will wither and fall perhaps,
Or is sure indeed to collapse,
Said little Pumpy Dare!

Never he went back to his side,
In the other side he took pride!
Never failed to curse his own though,
Though that’s where he started his life’s show!

On his death bed now he was,
The old apple trees he yearned to see,
Sweet or not,
They were my lot,
Now cried little Pumpy Dare!

Happy Times!!

When you get up every morning,
To see someone waiting,
For you to open your eyes,
Happy Times it is!

When you get up every morning,
To see someone craving,
To begin the day with you,
Happy Times it is!

When you get up every morning,
To see someone longing,
For you to give a smile,
Happy Times it is!

When you get up every morning,
To see someone adoring,
The very way you sleep,
Happy Times it is!

When you get up every morning,
Loving the day ahead,
Loving the day that went behind,
Loving it all,
Coz of the presence-
                 of that somebody,
Happy Times it indeed is!!!

The Unknown

Walking in solitude I find,
So many many things undefined!
A lot of mysteries to unwind,
With no one to watch your behind!

Walking in solitude I realize,
Life is but a turn of dice!
Time now to become wise,
To be right without thinking twice!

Walking in solitude I come across,
A bottle of untouched sauce!
The difference to descirbe, I am at a loss,
But I sure am my own boss!

Walking in solitude the mystery unfolds,
Of the unseen,
Of the unheard,
Of the unknown !
